How can I test if algae oil is combustible without having to put it in a car engine?

im doing a science fair project at school and i need to test if algae oil is combustible to see if it would move a car (biodiesel) but without having to put it in a car because im not going to take those chances. Also, we cant just see if the oil burns because many things burn and we need proove that its a combustible that produces heat (energy) BUT HOW?????????? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!please!!!!
as with any oil, heat it up. Rudolph Diesel designed his engine to run on any available oil. In fact there was no such thing as petroleum diesel fuel until the oil companies found out they could make it cheaply. Diesel’s compression engine shown at the 1900 Paris world’s fair used peanut oil.
Here is a simple test … OUTSIDE……..
take a paper towel and twist it up, dip it in the oil and light it.
look closely, do you see the oil or the paper burning?
By the way algae oil has already been tested in a jet engine
The guy above is correct. The old COX model engine can run on diesel
